Even for our wines we thought of an authentic and evocative environment, in order to revive inside the emotional perception of nature. Exposed beams and bricks, earthenware walls and walnut fixtures are elements of the typical local architecture, to never forget where we come from.

Land and sea, natural elements inextricably linked together, represent the origins and the common thread of the fifty years long history of our family and the passion for good food: this is how the Antica Osteria da Cera was born.

In 1966 Silvana and Rino Cera opened a small fish tavern on the road from Venice to Chioggia, offering "cicchetti" (small snacks) of freshly fried fish and simple "ombre de vin" (glasses of wine); today, their children Lionello, Daniele and Lorena, continue to maintain that identity by enhancing their cultural origins, through an important evolution: they look at the past with a new perspective, rediscovering and rewriting recipes, flavors and scents.

Each of our creations becomes a step along a path traced by the chef and his staff, with proposals that reflect the resources of the local catch and the typical products of the territory. First of all the material and then the art: this is a philosophy of life that leads us to carefully select the ingredients and study combinations that can enhance the qualities, without distorting the characteristics and flavors of the dish. The continuous research has led us to a further, recent evolution, through a new approach to the vegan and vegetarian world, orientations that we have embraced with the same passion and enthusiasm shown so far with traditional cuisine. We have developed a specific interest in traditionally basic foods such as bread and derivatives: this is to make it clear that it is not taken for granted that simple things are expressed naturally, in fact we believe that "Simplicity is the most difficult concept to interpret."

Accompanying customers on a real journey, a sort of emotional experience that takes shape in an exceptional atmosphere where the style and the reserved welcome define what is now an authentic and evocative environment, designed to revive the emotional perception of nature.
